Cedar Creek Riding Camp

Our goal is to teach each camper how to ride and care for their horse and to hold up the ideals of responsibility, enthusiasm and caring as models for living. Our small camp size, excellent staff, programs, facilities and schooled horses all combine to provide an unparalleled camp and riding experience which is every young riders dream.
The instructors work carefully to foster horse/camper partnerships and focus on expanding riding and stable skills. We carefully consider size, previous riding experience, confidence level and special areas of interest to match each camper with a suitable horse or pony to ride and care for during their entire camp session. The experience of having a "horse to care for" is one of the things that makes the Cedar Creek riding program unique.
Our Facilities
Cedar Creek has 4 grass rings and an indoor arena. The barn lends a cozy feeling of closeness to horses. A renovated barn provides a well ventilated place for riders to gather in comfort to discuss lesson plans and programs.
Cedar Creek (Full Day Horseback Riding) Program
Campers receive two full English Riding lessons daily as well as a recreational swim. Campers can choose a daily instructional swim option instead of a daily recreational swim (additional fee applies). Campers will receive swim instruction by our qualified swim staff.
Saddle Champs (Half Day Horseback Riding and Half Day Traditional Camp Option)
This program is a half day horseback riding option for children completing grade 1 or higher. In this half day program, campers will be assigned to a cabin group at Green Acres and spend half their day in traditional camp and the other half of the day with the horses. In the Saddle Champs program, campers spend approximately one hour in an English riding lesson and approximately one hour learning about stable management (i.e. horse care, feeding, preparing horses for shows).
