Leadership Team


Eddy Bogomolny is the Founding Director of Camp Green Acres. Since its inception in 1966, Eddy has been actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the camp. Not only does he spend ten months of the year preparing and planning for camp, but each day of the summer he is on the grounds with the kids, making sure everything runs smoothly and our campers have the most fun and safe summer possible.

Lori Bogomolny is the second generation to run Camp Green Acres. Building on her father Eddy’s tradition, experience and knowledge, Lori’s passion for camp has evolved over the years. She has been involved in camp her whole life as a camper, staff and head staff, both at day camps and residential camps for over 20 years. After completing her Law Degree in 2006, Lori has been committed to working full time at Green Acres as the Camp Director. She is always available to both new and returning camp families to answer any questions they may have about our many camp programs, busing, special needs and staffing. In addition to staff and head staff hiring, Lori also co-ordinates our head staff and staff training programs, is responsible for health & safety at camp and is constantly looking to add new and exciting camper programs.

Darren Greenspoon has also been involved in camp his entire life as a camper, staff and head staff both at day camps and residential camps for over 30 years. He has been at Camp Green Acres now for 15 years. Darren obtained his Teaching Degree and taught for many years in both Markham and Vaughan. After leaving teaching ten years ago, Darren joined the Director team full-time at Camp Green Acres and is now working on all aspects of camp, including parent communication, swimming, busing, hiring and programming. Darren is instrumental in planning and organizing many things around camp including our bus routes, Green Acres cabin schedule as well as our All-Star and MyCAMP schedules. Darren is always available to answer any questions that parent’s may have regarding anything at camp.

Kathy Fleming is the Assistant Camp Director. Kathy has been a long-standing staff at Green Acres since 2004. She is known for her creative ideas, enthusiasm and ability to relate to staff and campers. Kathy’s camping background began as staff and head staff in Montreal and continues to bring her experience and knowledge to her role as Assistant Director. With her expertise in business and marketing, Kathy has been instrumental in creating and managing the Parent Survey. Kathy is involved in all aspects of camp including staff and head staff hiring, programming and parent communication. She is also our parent liaison regarding our Leadership Training Program (LTP) as well as our “BOB Camp” trip to Camp Wahanowin. She is a great resource for both staff and parents.

Over more than 45 years, Green Acres has achieved a reputation for excellence in programming, quality and leadership.
