Program Our horse program provides a balance between mounted English riding instruction and informal talks and demonstrations. At Cedar Creek Riding Camp we offer small group lessons including instruction in the ring and on the trail, jumping if desired, and general grooming and safety all taught in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. Riding instruction covers the basic skills necessary to enjoy and safely participate in gymkhanas and dressage. It also allows campers to receive two full lessons each camp day. Cedar Creek is also a current member of the Ontario Equestrian Federation's Horse Facilities Council.
The foundation of Cedar Creek’s commitment to quality is our incredible group of horses and ponies. Carefully selected, thoroughly trained mounts, some of whom are permanently owned by Cedar Creek, provide each camper with a safe, yet challenging riding experience. A peek through the barn door may show Doge or Spice, two trusty horses who help our youngest riders to a confident start. Gemini and CeeCee are horses who teach our more advanced riders the finesse required in riding horses. Cherry and Carter give experienced riders a taste of what a trip around a course of jumps should really feel like! At Cedar Creek we have a horse with the suitable size, training and temperament to give each camper a riding opportunity with built-in success.
